چکیده
Abstract Purpose Wood decay fungi are the only forms of life capable degrading wood to its initial constituents, greatly contributing soil ecosystem. This study summarizes current research status and development characteristics global research, in order better understand their role soils. Methods A bibliometric analysis was applied literature from 1913 2020, based on data Web Science (WOS) Core Collection. For this, various methods, R (Biblioshiny package), VOSviewer were applied. Results total 8089 documents this field identified WOS The annual number publications tended increase, with exponential growth after 2008. Researchers mainly concentrated North Europe, USA, China. Biotechnology, microbiology, environmental sciences, microbiology most popular categories. Bioresource Technology Applied Environmental Microbiology top two journals citations. three authors published papers Dai YC, Martinez AT, Cui BK. Co-occurrence author keywords six clusters, divided into categories: classification diversity, degradation mechanisms, ecological functions fungi. Clustering results further showed that lignin process application industrial production contamination remediation hotspots. Conclusions We present a comprehensive systematic overview related provide deep perspective associated progress. is important for facilitating profound understanding contribution systems contaminants.

Four Unrecorded Wood Decay Fungi from Seoul in Korea
During the investigation of Korean indigenous fungi from Seoul, three genera-Fuscoporia, Porostereum, and Trametopsis, and four species-Fuscoporia senex, Phlebia acerina, Porostereum spadiceum, and Trametopsis cervina were found. Their morphological characteristics were examined and their identification was confirmed by molecular analysis based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and nuclear l...
متن کاملWood Decay Fungi in South Korea: Polypores from Seoul
In Seoul, a majority of plant communities have undergone significant changes over the last few decades; however, how wood decay fungi have responded and adapted to the changes in vegetation remains unknown. Through an ongoing investigation of Korean indigenous fungi, ca. 300 specimens with poroid basidiocarp were collected in Seoul during 2008~2012. Morphological examination and molecular analy...
متن کاملFive New Wood Decay Fungi (Polyporales and Hymenochaetales) in Korea
The wood decay fungi are a diverse taxonomic group that plays a pivotal role in forest carbon cycling. Wood decay fungi use various enzymatic pathways to digest dead or living wood in order to obtain carbon and other nutrients and these enzymatic systems have been exploited for both industrial and medical applications. Over 600 wood decay fungi species have been described in Korea; however, the...
متن کاملComparative transcriptome and secretome analysis of wood decay fungi Postia placenta and Phanerochaete chrysosporium.
Cellulose degradation by brown rot fungi, such as Postia placenta, is poorly understood relative to the phylogenetically related white rot basidiomycete, Phanerochaete chrysosporium. To elucidate the number, structure, and regulation of genes involved in lignocellulosic cell wall attack, secretome and transcriptome analyses were performed on both wood decay fungi cultured for 5 days in media co...
